"HerStory" Fundraising Event



Ithaca, NY - The SWIS Club (Strong Women Impacting Society) of Ithaca High School will host “HerStory,” a creative twist on a classic soiree, as a fundraiser Saturday for the Advocacy Center. The program features guest speakers such as renowned Cornell professor Joan Brumberg, author of “The Body Project” and a force in the feminist community for decades. The program will also include stories and performances by local high school students and community members, desserts and non-alcoholic drinks from local eateries, jazz music and feminist-themed games.  www.fundraising-ideas.org

An Evening in Red Fundraising Event



Tucson, AZ - The 17th Annual "Treasures for TIHAN," the year's largest fundraising event to benefit the work of the Tucson Interfaith HIV/AIDS Network (TIHAN), is Saturday.  This spectacular event will feature great hors d'oeuvres, no-host cocktails, a live and silent auction, and festive entertainment! A huge collection of over 500 items will be available in the silent auction, including original art, trips and travel, event tickets, home and garden, health and beauty, celebrity items, and gift certificates for fine dining and services. Channel Your Inner James Bond at Toast and Taste Fundraising Event



Montclair, NJ - In the mood to express your Inner James Bond or one of his, um, female colleagues, and sample a variety of wines, micro-brewed beers and spirits while chomping on good food on the grounds of New Jersey’s first public museum?  Two Aston Martins (Mr. Bond’s preferred mode of transportation) will join the Montclair Art Museum’s 12,000-plus works of art on Friday. Beer Quest Fundraiser Couples Science with Libations



Huntsville, AL – Folks from the 21 and up crowd can explore the science behind their favorite beers next weekend. Beer Quest is Sci-Quest Hands on Science Center's new fundraising event.  The center has announced that local breweries including Below the Radar Brewing Company, Blue Pants Brewery, Rocket Republic Brewing Company, Salty Nut Brewing will be offering up different beers during an afternoon tasting where guests can learn more about the beer making process.  www.fundraising-ideas.org

Fundraising Underway for Camp for Kids with Mental and Physical Disabilities



Waynesboro, VA -  Fundraising is underway for a new campground in Waynesboro.  A nonprofit called Creative Works Farm is looking for donors as they develop a camp for children with special needs. For kids with mental and physical disabilities, going to summer camp can be pretty much out of the question. Creative Works Farm plans to start changing that. Construction’s underway at the newly established Creative Works Farm. The organization has plans to add a petting zoo, pool, lazy river, and cabins to hold 50 campers a week.  The camp is hosting a number of fundraisers on their site throughout the end of the year.  www.fundraising-ideas.org

Candles Light the Way at Fundraising Event



Queensland, Australia - As darkness closed in on Jim Finimore Oval, a touching candlelight tribute was made to those battling cancer and those who have lost the fight. The ceremony offered a moment of solitude for participants in this year's Relay for Life event at the Leichhardt grounds. The fundraising challenge hosted teams who took turns to walk or run around the One Mile sportsground throughout the night.
