Fundraiser to Benefit Veterans



Harrison, MI - A non-profit is hosting an event this weekend with one goal in mind to help veterans.  The two-day Fight for Vets fundraiser is happening in Harrison.  A non-profit organization called 2helpvets is behind this event. They're dedicated to helping veterans gain greater financial independence. This weekend's fundraiser includes vendors, food, live music and a silent auction.  Organizers said this is all about recognizing those men and women who have fought for our country's freedom.  www.fundraising-ideas.org

Soccer Prom Fundraiser



Waynesboro, VA - A unique fundraiser is benefiting the Boys and Girls Club of Waynesboro, Staunton, and Augusta County.  Soccer players got all dolled up like they're going to prom to play each other on the field at Stuarts Draft High School.  The boys and girls club has done several fundraiser's in the past, but this is a first.  They've raised more than $8,000.  That money is going toward the club's healthy lifestyles programming which offers sports and cooking classes to keep kids healthy.  www.fundraising-ideas.org

Denim 'N Diamonds Fundraising Event



Cheyenne, WY - Denim ‘N Diamonds is celebrating 25 years! The Denim event will be held at Riata Ranch in Cheyenne, Wyoming . “The Riata has a large, covered arena that can hold 1000 people and shelter us from June Thunderstorms. We will have two Wyoming based bands, Wagonhound and Jalan Crossland, so wear your boots and come dance in the dirt and have a really fun time,” says Marian Schulz, Foundation board member and Denim ‘N Diamonds co-chair with board member Mona Pearl.  For $40, you’ll receive two drink tickets and appetizers. 3rd Annual Honor Flight Pub Crawl Fundraiser



Maynard, MA - The third annual Honor Flight Pub Crawl, hosted by the American Legion Post 235, raised $15,000 for Honor Flight New England. Honor Flight flies World War II and Korean War veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit the monuments at no cost to the veterans. 60-in-60 Creative Fundraising Event



Syracuse, NY -- Artists were letting their creative minds shine, all to benefit the Everson Museum in downtown Syracuse.  Friday evening was their annual 60-in-60 fundraiser, 60 artists have to finish a work of art in 60 minutes. People get a chance to buy the artwork with proceeds going to the museum.  Organizers say it's a unique experience.  "Not only do they get to see the art, it's very interactive, they talk to the artist, they see how the art is created and it makes the art very personal to them," said Everson Board of Trustees V.P.Clifford Malzman.  www.fundraising-ideas.org

Street Party Fundraiser for Alzheimer's Awareness



South Charleston, WV - Some city streets will be closed near the mound in South Charleston during a fundraiser Saturday evening for Alzheimer's awareness.  The streets will be closed from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday.  Just a few months ago, one of the event's organizers lost her mother to Alzheimer's after caring for her at home for a lengthy time.   DJ's, Dancing and Family Fun around the Mound to raise money for the Alzheimer's Association. 5 pm to 10 pm. There will also be a Corn Hole Tournament at the festivities. There will also be a Poker Run starting at 1 pm (with registration starting at 11 am) at the Harley Davidson Store in South Charleston and ending at the Mound during the festivities. www.fundraising-ideas.org
