- Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio hosted its ninth annual
Generous Helpings culinary fundraising event, and raised critical dollars to
meet growing need, and find key funding for its new building. Back in 2004, Second Harvest was distributing
about 17,000 meals, now the need has grown to 60,000 meal a month in 2014. The Generous Helpings event featured 18 local
chefs, who served signature dishes using locally grown produce. More than 400 attended the event, which also

Walk To End Alzheimer's Fundraising Event a Huge Success
York, PA - Hundreds
of people enjoyed Saturday’s summer-like weather and took part in the 2014 York
Walk To End Alzheimer’s. The event at Cousler Park in Manchester Township, York
County raises money and awareness for the disease. Even before the event
started, walkers had already surpassed their fundraising goal of $75,000. Five-million Americans have been diagnosed
with Alzheimer’s Disease; a number that is expected to more than triple by

BuckeyeThon Fundraising Event at Ohio State
Columbus, OH - Ohio
State’s 24-hour dance marathon benefitting children will kick off fundraising
efforts this weekend with nothing short of a kid’s idea of fun. BuckeyeThon is set to host its carnival-style
event, dubbed “CarnOval,” on Friday from 4-8 p.m. on the South Oval. All
proceeds from the sale of wristbands will be going to the Hematology, Oncology
and Bone Marrow Transplant Department at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, said

Celebrating the Fall With Fashion Fundraising Event
Bartlesville, OK - The
Bartlesville Salvation Army Auxiliary is planning its annual style show,
Celebrating the Fall With Fashion. The
style show and salad luncheon is set at the Salvation Army. Fashions and accessories by C.J. Banks and
Christopher & Banks will be modeled by auxiliary members. Tickets are $15. The event is a major
fundraiser for the auxiliary, which funds and supports a variety of activities
in Bartlesville including the Red Shield Club after-school and summer program
for children, sponsorships and supplies for kids to attend summer camp, local
women’s ministries, sponsorship of teens to attend district Youth Council, food
and home energy aid for families, Thanksgiving dinner for residents, Christmas
assistance for families, World Services funds for the partner Salvation Army
Territory in the Ukraine, and assistance to the Mexico Children’s Home, a

Fundraiser to Renovate Historic State Theatre
Zumbrota, MN
— Twenty-five banners and other original artworks by local artists that have
been on public display through the summer are being auctioned off to fundraise
for a renovation project at the Historic State Theatre. The auction wraps up at a closing reception,
"Art on Main," being held at the VFW Banquet Hall. The CBC Jazz Group
will perform, and there will be appetizers and desserts provided by local
restaurants, and a cash bar. Admission is $18.
Money raised will go toward building new bathrooms, expanding a foyer area
and conducting other structural maintenance next year at the 1921 State

Painting for Paws Fundraising Event
