Tiverton, England - Greyhounds
were given center stage at a special fundraising event held at the Anchor Inn
this weekend. The Retired Greyhounds
Trust (RGT) met at the Exebridge pub on Sunday for a day to promote the
well-being of the dog, as well as raising awareness for the charity. The trust helps to find homes for almost
4,000 of these dogs per year and is able to keep up to 1000 retired greyhounds
in kennels. At the event, owners and
volunteers met and enjoyed stalls, tombola, pin the tail on the greyhound and
were able to meet members of the public to give information about re-homing. www.fundraising-ideas.org
