Fundraising Events for James Prendergast Library
Jamestown, NY -- Four fundraising events are in the works to help boost the finances of the James Prendergast Library. This comes as the library faces a growing budget deficit. The library's board of trustees originally planned to sell library-owned works of art to solve the financial problems, a move that was met by public outcry. Now they're hoping to raise funds through a gala dinner, a read-a-thon, a locally produced art auction and a smaller event at a local establishment. www.fundraising-ideas.org

Hob Nobble Gobble Fundraising Event
Detroit, MI - It seems that the folks at the Parade Company fruitfully abide by the adage, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” when it comes to planning its popular Hob Nobble Gobble fundraiser. From the moment guests stepped from their cars, the fantasy began as they were greeted by real tin soldiers, dancing clowns and lively parade characters. The event featured a carnival midway with amusement park rides and games, cuisine provided by Levy Catering and live entertainment from Ford Field’s end zone to end zone for kids and adults. All proceeds go to the Parade Company which puts on Detroit’s Thanksgiving Day Parade every year. www.fundraising-ideas.org
