"Step up, It's a Charity Affair" Annual Fundraising Event



Brentwood, TN - The Brentwood-Franklin Woman’s Service Club is holdings its annual “Step Up, It’s a Charity Affair” fundraising event next Tuesday. The guest speaker for the event is a well-known name from the world of University of Tennessee sports: former Women’s Athletic Director Joan Cronan.  Cronan will share stories about her long career in sports and sign copies of her book, “Sports is Life with the Volume Turned Up!”  The fundraiser will also feature the announcement of the Woman’s Club’s latest Woman of the Year.  www.fundraising-ideas.org 

Walk for Wisdom Fundraising Event



Mebane, NC — E.M. Yoder Elementary School students are racing for a cause.  The school hosted its first Walk for Wisdom fundraisier on Friday to raise money for library books and solar lights for the Nyarweng Primary School in Ruweng State, South Sudan, as part of their first year as one of the Alamance-Burlington School System’s global schools.  The event kicked off with an Olympics-style opening ceremony, involving a parade of homemade flags for each continent, and continued throughout the day as grade levels took turns racing, running and walking to raise the money their parents, friends and family members pledged per lap.  www.fundraising-ideas.org 

Vintage Films at Fundraising Event



Benzonia, MI — The world of film has changed since Rich Brauer made his first in the 1970s. Three souvenirs from the era — vintage 16-millimeter reels — will star in the “COG Reel” fundraising event Saturday.  He will thread the film strips through a non-digital projector to show them on a screen. Wenkel founded COGNiTiON after visiting a hands-on learning center in Toledo, Ohio a few years ago. She purchased a small building in Beulah to host a variety of family-friendly activities. Jump Rope Fundraising Event at Elementary School



Gore Bay, ON—There was a lot of jumping going on at Charles C. McLean Elementary School in Gore Bay last Friday.  Grade 3-6 students at the school had been gearing up for the past few weeks for their participation in the Jump Rope For Heart fundraising event to get in shape and raise funds for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.   The funds raised by the students from the Jump Rope for Heart event go to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. EPICURIAD Fundraising Event Gourmet Food Competition



Scottsdale, AZ - A special April 29 fundraising event in Scottsdale featuring food competitions between celebrity chefs and drink samples, aims to please guests stomach while raising money for medical research through the Beer for Brains Foundation.  EPICURIAD – Best Food, Craft Beer and Wine Pairing event will be on Saturday, April 29 in Scottsdale. Heart of the Valley Children's Choir Annual Fundraising Event



Lebanon, OR - The Heart of the Valley Children's Choir will hold its annual fundraising event Saturday at the Corvallis Country Club.  Carol Nelson, the choir's director, said the event, "Let the Children Sing," raises money for tuition scholarships and the organization's Kathy Egan Medearis Tour Scholarship Fund.  The event will feature a keynote speech from Sara Nelson, who used to sing in the choir and now is the international president of the International Association of Flight Directors.  Also on tap: performances from the choir's two a cappella groups, along with hors d’oeuvres, beverages, raffle baskets and live auctions. www.fundraising-ideas.org
