St. Thomas, ON - For
the last 12 years, the “Day Out with Thomas” has been the single largest
fundraising event organized by the Elgin County Railway Museum. But this year’s edition of the popular event
will probably be its most important one yet. While money collected during the annual fundraising has historically
been used to support the museum’s operating budget, the head of the museum is
hoping the event will attract enough people so that a portion of the proceeds
can be used towards a project to fix a section of the building’s roof. www.fundraising-ideas.org
