Auckland, NZ - Going
homeless for a night has really paid off for more than 100 people raising money
to help the country's most vulnerable. The
Lifewise Big Sleep Out fundraising event, which ran overnight on Thursday in
Auckland and Rotorua, involves participants becoming 'rough sleepers' for one
night while fundraising to combat homelessness in the two cities. This year
participants have so far raised $268,000, surpassed their target of $250,000
and the $178,000 raised last year. www.fundraising-ideas.org
