McFarland, WI --
A fundraiser that started with one young woman's dream is about to reach a big
milestone.
Aly's Honky Tonk Hustle is
now in its fourth year raising money for the UW Carbone Cancer Center. Hundreds
came out for a run and after party Saturday, to support the cause started by
Aly Wolff back in 2012 after she learned she was facing a tough battle with
neuroendocrine cancer. Aly passed away in 2013 before her plans for the
fundraising event could be realized, but her friends and family continued on
for her.
Aly's mother Sheila Wolff
tells 27 News they hope to reach $500,000 raised by the end of the night
Saturday. Despite her death, Aly's passion to help people with cancer never
faded.
