Power of the Purse Fundraising Event

Owatonna, MN — On June 14, the Women’s Leadership Council of the United Way of Steele County held the third annual “Power of the Purse” Fundraising Event. At this event women from across Steele County gathered to celebrate and harness the power of women as philanthropists, business owners and leaders. This year over 100 women were in attendance and donated over $24,000 to the cause.  Funds were raised through a Purse Themed Silent Auction, Live Auction, Ticket Sales, a Wall of Wine, and Direct Sponsorships. All of the items for the auctions and wine were generously donated either by Women’s Leadership Council Members or by local businesses. www.fundraising-ideas.org
