Frederick, MD - Trying to figure
out what the answer is in charades is fun, and about 40 participants Saturday
combined that fun with fundraising for Gale Recovery.
The event was the first of its kind for the
organization. Gale Recovery offers two homes — Olson House for men, and Gale
House for women — to help those who have conquered addiction but need help
getting back in to the mainstream. The event, held at All Saints Episcopal
Church, drew eight teams of five people each, at $100 per team. Each team had
10 minutes to see how many words or phrases their teammates could figure out. The
first place team had seven subjects guessed in the 10-minute challenge.
One of the team members said he had never
done charades before. "You had three categories — movies, books or songs.
It was a lot of fun."
