Ridgewood, IL - Some
local basketball players came together to fundraise for one of tiniest community
members – Connor Stone. Having been born
in October 2014, Connor is just a baby, but has had some tough times in his
young life. He suffers from Tracheosophageal fistula and cannot be fed without
a feeding tube. Medical bills have been
piling up for Connor’s mom Kiah Stone and dad Rob Stone – who is a math
teacher at Ridgewood High School. On
Saturday, the team planned a fundraising event called Hoops for
Healing for the Stone family. According
to the Hoops for Healing Facebook page the Ridgewood Spartans and the Elmwood
Trojans Lady Basketball teams are hosting the event. The teams planned to sponsor raffles, auction
items, a 50/50 drawing, and more. www.fundraising-ideas.org
