Holiday Fundraiser for Children's Museum a Big Success

Square, OH — Children and their parents packed
the Highland Theatre for the Akron Children’s Museum’s Hands-On Holidays
fundraiser over the holidays.. Organizers said several hundred people attended
the event, a fundraiser to support the creation of the museum. The fundraiser raised
over $16,000, which will go toward opening a pilot site for the museum in the
next 12 to 18 months, according to museum officials.At the Hands-On Holidays event, children
played with a life-size Lite Brite, used their imaginations to build castles
and towers out of blocks, created elf hats and took “elfie selfies,” and also
