Pineville, VA - Rapides
Cemetery, the final resting place of some of the founding fathers of
Alexandria, will come to life Saturday during the Spring Stroll Through The
Cemetery fundraising event. During the
fundraising event, six people in costumes will portray some of the people who are
buried in the cemetery. They will tell the story of their lives or their
relatives' lives to those taking the walking tour. "They are going to be in costume of the
period," said Pat Boone, vice president of the Central Louisiana
Genealogical Society and business manager for the Alexandria Historical and Genealogical
Library. www.fundraising-ideas.org
