Halton Hills, ON - Mayor
Rick Bonnette is hosting a free public skating event to help raise money to
support local groups that will be sponsoring Syrian refugee families. This free
event is open to everyone and will be held at the Acton Arena, ice pad B, on
Saturday. “We’re expecting the first
families to arrive in Halton Hills soon and it would be wonderful to help them
settle in. It will be difficult for these families to adjust to Canada and we
are hoping that a warm Halton Hills welcome will help them,” said Mayor
