42nd Annual Stomp-On Fundraiser to Take Place One Week Earlier This Year

Pueblo, CO - The 42nd annual Stomp-On, Rosemount Museum’s largest fundraising event will take place a week earlier than usual, on the museum grounds.  Over the past several years, the Colorado State Fair has opened the expo on the same evening as the Stomp-On, and concerts and the addition of the (opening-night) rodeo last year made a major dent in Stomp-On’s participation,” said Rosemount Museum Executive Director Deb Darrow. “We realize that we can no longer compete with the attractions offered on the first night of the Fair.  This year’s Stomp-On will feature two bands — Overton Road and Black Rose — as well as dancing, a cash bar, food and a special performance by Elvis. www.fundraising-ideas.org

Cyclist Fundraising Event at Western Oregon University to Benefit MS

Monmouth, OR -- Starting Friday, the Western Oregon University campus will be bombarded with upward of 600 bikers for an MS fundraiser.   Don't think Sturgis and "hogs" though, they're not those kinds of bikers. From Saturday to Sunday, teams of cyclists will venture across the Willamette Valley in the name of charity. The 29th annual Bike MS is the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Oregon Chapter's premier fundraising event. In its second year at Western, the event has grown from 550 riders to approaching 600 with one day left to register. "We were looking for an area that could accommodate and grow the event. Western had been a good partner for other events like Cycle Oregon," NMSS Oregon Chapter President Lisa Roth said. "They seemed to be able to accommodate our needs and experience. Also, the Willamette Valley has so many good routes."  www.fundraising-ideas.org

Wacky Races make a great FUNdraising event!

Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk (England) - The Bury Wacky Races is a fundraising event, which takes place in the town of Bury St Edmunds. It  involves teams taking part in a series of unusual challenges ranging from a ‘nappy run’ – where contestants wear a water- soaked nappy on their heads – and an egg and spoon race in the Arc shopping centre, to a three-legged procession through the town culminating in a tug-of-war and archery competition at Bury Rugby Club.  It was great fun and also had a serious side of raising money for Suffolk Breakthrough Breast Cancer Group. www.fundraising-ideas.org
