Fundraising Pilates Event for Hospice

Woodford, UK - A pilates class is holding a fundraising event for a hospice.  Sonia Noy Pilates will hold the event in support of St Francis Hospice on July 7 at 7pm at Woodford Bowling Club, Kings Avenue, Woodford Green.   Two free 30-minute pilates classes, healthy snacks and the bar will be open while participants will be asked to make a donation to the hospice which is based in Romford.   Leader Sonia said: “Having taught pilates to the lovely people who work at St Francis Hospice I had the opportunity to see first hand the incredible work they do caring for those with life limiting illnesses and supporting their families." www.fundraising-ideas.org

Goodwill Fundraising Event to Benefit Girls' Water Polo Team

Chino Hills, CA - The Ayala High School girls’ water polo team will partner with Goodwill Industries to hold a fundraising event on July 5 at Ayala High’s parking lot.  The team will collect gently used clothing, household items, and electronics which the team will load into bins provided by Goodwill. The team will receive payment from Goodwill according to the amount that is donated. Superhero Skydive Fundraising Event

Horsham, West Sussex, UK - The sky’s the limit for St John Ambulance volunteer, John Waters, from Horsham in West Sussex, who is amongst the first to sign up for St John Ambulance’s latest fundraising event – the Superhero Skydive. And he hopes many more people will join him by signing up to support the first aid charity and help save more lives. John, 61, of West Grinstead, will be doing the tandem parachute jump from 10,000 feet at an airfield near Maidstone this September. Comedy Night Fundraiser

Vacaville, CA - Dixon Family Services' Summer Fundraising Event, Comedy Night 2014, is all set to be held Saturday, July 26, at Denverton Hall on the Dixon May Fairgrounds.  The Comedy Night event is an opportunity for all community members to support the organization, while having a great time, say organizers.  The evening will include a tri-tip dinner provided by Recology, no-host bar provided by Dixon Rotary and a community-supported bake sale and auction. Ride For Roswell Fundraising Bike Ride

Amherst, NY — More than 200 cyclists took to the road for a good cause Friday during the kickoff for the 19th annual Ride for Roswell.  Riders rode from Roswell Park Cancer Institute to the UB football stadium to raise money for cancer research. The event precedes Saturday's Ride for Roswell, which will feature more than 8,000 riders raising millions of dollars.  Guest speaker, cancer survivor and Olympic gold medalist Scott Hamilton spoke to the audience about his story as part of the event.   Ride for Roswell is the largest fundraising effort in Western New York and the largest cycling fundraiser in North America. www.fundraising-ideas.org
