Pet Pyschic to Do Readings at Fundraiser for Animal Center
Encinitas, CA - For anyone who has ever looked into the eyes of their furry family member and sworn they have a deeper connection with that pet than anyone else on earth, Animal Medium Brent Atwater can tell you why. Atwater has been touching the lives of pet owners across the world with her books, blogs, social media and radio shows, all directed at the question of animal life after death. Now the world-renowned medium is donating her spiritual gifts to Helen Woodward Animal Center with a Readings for Rescue fundraiser later this month. Tickets are $37 for general admission and include an entry into a drawing for a free 3.5-hour full reading for your pet, along with an autographed book. VIP tickets are $99 and include the main show plus entry into the after-show Meet & Greet event. All attendees are encouraged to bring a printed photo of your current or past pet, as pet readings will be chosen at random. www.fundraising-ideas.org

Pelham Police Officer to Make Fundraising Skydive
Birmingham,
AL - Who would jump out of a perfectly good airplane? Pelham Police Officer
Dustin Chandler thinks it's a good idea that will fundraise for a good cause.
He's doing it to raise awareness for CDKL5, a rare genetic disorder that can
cause as many as 10 seizures a day in children. According to the International
Foundation for CDKL5 Research, many children with CDKL5 cannot walk, talk or
feed themselves, and there is currently no cure. Chandler will make the
14,000-foot jump during the second annual Skydive for CDKL5 fundraising event.
It will be held at Skydive Alabama in Cullman. Chandler said, "I wanted to
bring maximum awareness to CDKL5, and I was trying to think of something no one
had done before." www.fundraising-ideas.org Tuesday, August 12, 2014

Costume Wearing Whippet is Up for Fundraising Award
Great
Whittington, Northumberland, UK - Kev
the whippet isn’t your average pooch. Dressing
him up in a variety of costumes, you may think his owner Val Tuck is barking
mad. But this little dog has raised a
big smile and a whole heap of cash for charity - and it has seen him nominated
for a national award. Kev is up for a
JustGiving 2014 award thanks to his technicolor wardrobe of glamorous costumes,
ranging from the Easter Bunny to “Dog Vader.”
The 10-year-old canine has been nominated for the Creative Fundraiser of
the year category for his efforts over last year. Kev doesn’t mind having his photo taken as he
knows he will get a biscuit afterwards, and is helping Val to train for the
upcoming Great North Run. www.fundraising-ideas.org Saturday, August 9, 2014
