Pinwheel Project Fundraising Memorial

Bernardsville, NJ - The month of May marks what would have been Campbell Grace Hoyt’s 10^th birthday. To commemorate the date, the Team Campbell Foundation and the Bedwell Home and School Association are planning a fundraiser next week. Any money raised from the Pinwheel Project Garden Party will help fund research projects, psychosocial enrichment and will raise awareness of childhood cancers. The Pinwheel Project honors Campbell Grace Hoyt on her 10^th birthday.  Only 1827 pinwheels will be sold, recognizing the 1827 days that Campbell fought ependymoma, a rare cancer of the brain and spine, before she lost her life to the disease in August, 2014. The pinwheels will be planted near Campbell’s friendship tree and buddy bench on the Bedwell playground in a special garden.  www.fundraising-ideas.org 

"Cops on Top" Fundraising Event Has Record Year

Greensboro, NC -- The Greensboro Police Department's 'Cops on Top' fundraising campaign reached record-breaking donations this year.   The 3-day event benefited Special Olympics of North Carolina. Greensboro Police Officers were on the roof and the ground at the Chick-fil-A on Battleground Avenue in the Brassfield Shopping Center between April 27 and April 29 accepting donations.   The department says this is the seventh year that it has partnered with Chick-fil-A for 'Cops on Top,' and the best so far. www.fundraising-ideas.org 

Great Falls Participates in MTGives Online Fundraising Event

Great Falls, MT - Tuesday is the day for MTGives, an annual online event to raise money for participating Montana nonprofit organizations.  This is the first year Great Falls will take part, and it’s among a dozen communities involved across Big Sky Country. Fundraiser to Help a Miracle Leage Ball Park

Green Bay. WI -  Saturday afternoon a UW-Green Bay student put on a fundraiser to help resurface the Miracle League Ball Park which has a rubberized surface for kids with disabilities.  Connie Rissling says the goal is to raise $40,000 dollars.  Rissling's daughter was a member of the miracle league for two years and eventually passed away.  The support she received from the league helped in her decision to give back to the organization.  The total price tag for the project is expected to cost $250,000 dollars.  She says the park needs the work and she wanted to help out in any way she could.  www.fundraising-ideas.org 

40th Annual March to the Brazos Fundraising Event

College Station, TX - Rainy weather was enough to delay but not cancel the Texas A & M Corps of Cadets’ 40th annual 18-mile March to the Brazos.  The yearly event serves as both an informal transition of ranks among the Corps and a fundraising event for March of Dimes, an organization dedicated to funding research on the causes of premature birth. Annual Southend Colourthon Lets Fundraisers Choose Their Own Charity

Southend-on-Sea, UK - One of Southend's biggest fundraising events is gearing up for its tenth anniversary.   The Southend Colourthon, a night time walk from Chalkwell Park along the seafront and back, is putting on a party for the tenth annual event on Saturday, July 2, and everyone is invited.   This year's event will feature bands and singers and organizers are currently on the lookout for more local talent to take part.   Entrants are also being encouraged to sign up now to raise money for any charity close to their heart.
