DJ to spend 48 Hours on Legion Rooftop as Fundraiser

Fundraiser puts its mark on Northeastern school district
Manchester, PA: The Northeastern High School cheerleaders have revived a
Bobcat paw painting fundraiser to help fund the cheerleading competition teams.
And they hope to wind up traveling around the community, painting Bobcat paws on
driveways throughout the Northeastern School Distract. For $10 per paw,
Northeastern cheerleaders will visit a resident's home to paint orange paw
prints on their driveway to support Bobcat pride for Northeastern High School.
The cheerleaders use a Bobcat paw template, then use orange traffic paint for
the paw. The paint job lasts for a couple months. The process takes about 10-15
minutes. Money raised will help cover the cost of the district's cheerleading
competition team. A cheerleader must cheer for a school sport in order to be on
a cheer competition team. www.fundraising-ideas.org

University YMCA Holds Dump and Run fundraiser
Urbana-Champaign, IL - The University YMCA held
its 12th annual Dump and Run fundraiser in efforts to reduce litter and consumer
waste in Urbana-Champaign at the University of Illinois Stock Pavilion. The
fundraiser provides collection boxes every year while students are moving out at
the end of spring semester, in which students and the community can donate their
unwanted goods to the YMCA. The two-day garage sale is to raise money and reduce
landfill waste. After 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, the Dump and Run had its free sale
where goods without price tags were available for anyone until 4 p.m. Between
those hours, there had been approximately 65 to 70 people still shopping. www.fundraising-ideas.org
