Monticello, AR - According to Drew County Log-A-Load Committee Chair and
volunteer, Gay Pace, the annual fish fry fundraiser was a huge success Saturday
night at the First Assembly of God Church in Monticello. “We were pleasantly
surprised at the large turnout Saturday night,” she said. “We had 400-plus
people to attend and that marks the largest crowd we’ve had in the event’s
history.” Log-A-Load Arkansas, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this
year, is a part of a nationwide giving campaign through which loggers and
others contribute to local Children’s Miracle Network-affiliated hospitals to
provide medical care to kids in need, regardless of their families’ ability to
pay.
