Loveland, CO – Local artists painted eggstraordinary eggs for a fundraising
event. Diana Wade painted on an emu egg the first year, decided it was too
rough, and switched to ostrich eggs the following three years. Cheryl DeLucas
painted with oils for the first time in her life to design an egg of sky, moon
and stars. Wade and DeLucas are among over 40 artists who designed 54 ostrich
and emu eggs to be auctioned off at "An Extraordinary Evening" by
Mirasol Senior Community. The event will benefit Senior Alternatives in
Transportation, or SAINT, which is a volunteer-driven nonprofit organization
that provides personal transportation to people 60 years-plus and individuals
with disabilities.
