— Two months after a local motorcycle club unsuccessfully tried to host a
fundraising event on its property, a second attempt got a good reception from
county officials. The Eastern Iowa
chapter of the Sons of Silence Motorcycle Club are hoping to host a one-day
event Saturday, Aug. 23, at the club's headquarters. It will be a one-day-only event, with no camping
on the grounds. In addition, the event would be co-hosted with English River
Outfitters, a nonprofit organization that assists veterans and disabled
