Good Morning Connecticut Saturday Gary Mendell, the founder of Shatterproof.org, and Len Wolman,
chairman of Waterford Group,
talked about their effort to raise awareness about addiction by rappelling down
a building. Gary founded Shatterproof after losing a son to addiction. Gary
approached Len late last year to discuss the possibility of holding an event at
one of Waterford’s hotels in Hartford. Waterford Group Charitable Foundation
and Shatterproof decided to partner on this Hartford event together. The event
will be held Tuesday, July 29th. at the Hilton on Trumbull St. in Hartford,
from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. www.fundraising-ideas.org
