Pisgah, AL
— With new science standards around the corner Pisgah School is fundraising to
send its teachers to a conference, aimed at providing a better learning
experience for students.Friday
afternoon students lined up in between classes, clutching money in their hands.
The money goes into a bag, the student gets a softball, and an aim and a throw
later, Assistant Principal Bill Shelton – sometimes – landed in a dunk tank
full of water. It’s
a fun break in between classes for the students. For Shelton and other school
administrators, it’s one step closer to their goal. “Next year the state is
getting new science standards and they’re expecting some big changes, and I’m
trying to get all of my science teachers to a science conference in March,” Shelton
says. www.fundraising-ideas.org
