Fundraiser for Wildlife Sanctuary in Rye

Rye, Australia - Rye wildlife caretaker Brenda Marmion definitely has her hands full at the moment, with about 30 animals in her care at the Crystal Ocean Wildlife Shelter.   But Ms Marmion will be getting a helping hand on Friday, with a fundraiser taking place at Dromana’s Felix Boutique.  Ms Marmion is currently caring for eastern rosella chicks, rainbow lorikeets, ringtail possums, magpie chicks, and other animals, at her Rye shelter.  She said food was her main expense and concern.  Members of the public are invited to attend the fundraising event where there will be a lucky dip with a prize pool of more than $2500.  All lucky dip proceeds and a percentage of sales on the night will go to the animal shelter.  www.fundraising-ideas.org
