Grand Junction, CO-- The annual Empty Bowls fundraiser had crowds wrapped around
the soup kitchen on 1st Street since 8 a.m. Saturday morning. For 25 dollars, people could by soup served
in bowls made by local potters. Proceeds go toward the Grand Valley Catholic
Outreach soup kitchen, which serves more than 250 people a day, six days a
week. Visitors could choose from over a
thousand different bowls. Volunteers, staff, and even police officers helped
