Linton, IN - A fun-filled evening
is planned at the Linton National Guard Armory on Saturday that will benefit
Turning Point Education Center, a part of the Open Arms Family and Educational
Services.
A variety of homemade chili
soups will be available for purchase along with a silent auction.
Entertainment will be provided by Cochren
& Co., a contemporary Christian band. Proceeds from the event will be used
directly for Turning Point Education Center (TPEC) students.
“It (the fundraiser) is to pay for
scholarships for students who are ready to take the HSE (High School Equivalency)
exam and can’t afford it,” Adult Education Coordinator Michelle Ellis said.
“This is our first fundraiser and we hope people will come out and support us.”
