The Little House Celebrates its 1st Birthday with a Fundraiser

Boynton Beach, FL - The Little House restaurant in Boynton Beach celebrated its one-year birthday recently with a fundraiser for the Pajama Project, an organization that provides new pajamas and books to children in need, in shelters or waiting to be adopted. Guests were invited to bring items to donate and in exchange, each guest received all-you-can-drink mimosas and Bloody Marys. "We were all thrilled to be there. I saw online that The Little House regularly holds a pajama brunch and when I saw that, I knew our organization would be a great fit," said Marion Fitzsimmons, the chapter president of the Palm Beach County Pajama Project.www.fundraising-ideas.org

Wine & Howl Fundraising Event a Howling Success

Lincoln, NE -Deer Springs Winery was the site of the 5th Annual Wine & Howl fundraising event for Lincoln Animal Ambassadors. It took two attempts this year to hold the event, as the first time Mother Nature decided rain was the name of the game. But we prevailed and the fundraiser was held July 13. It was sunny and hot – perfect "dog day" weather! The event was visited by over 350 people and countless dogs. Music was provided by three local bands. Attendees enjoyed sampling Deer Springs wines and visiting the vendor booths while enjoying live music. A dog agility area was set up by the Greater Lincoln Obedience Club. Wading pools were set up around the yard so dogs could cool off during the day. There was wine, food, music, and fun all afternoon! www.fundraising-ideas.org

Delaware locals hold fundraising event for tornado victims in Oklahoma

Milford, DE – A few months ago, one of the strongest tornadoes on record ripped a 17-mile path through part of Oklahoma, devastating the city of Moore. The tornado-ravaged town still faces a long recovery, and two Delaware women are fundraising to help.  Dubbed "Scootin' For Moore," the event will kick off at Longshots Sports Bar in Milford with a motorcycle and car show, including a burnout competition after judging, and a bikini carwash throughout the day.  "The event is aimed at motorcycle and car enthusiasts, people looking to have a good time for a great cause, and generous hearts everywhere. We don't care if you have a motorcycle or car, or if you show up on a lawn mower, we would just like everyone to come together to make this huge." www.fundraising-ideas.org

HIgh-flying Fundraising Event in Huntsville

Huntsville, AL -- A slight crosswind coming from behind, full sun and clouds trickling through the bright blue sky. A perfect day for flying at the annual Rocket City Radio Controllers' War Birds fundraising event Saturday at the Captain Trey Wilborn Field. True model aircraft pilot, Brian Cabrera, drove his trailer, filled with various planes and helicopters, from Birmingham to attend this year's event. It's a hobby he's had since he was 11-years old, collecting model airplanes, and spending months building and painting each one. "I've always wanted to fly them ever since I was little," Cabrera said. "When you're building them, you just unplug yourself from reality and dedicate your time to those planes."  And it's that fascination that drives he's unique passion today as he travels all along the Southeast, attending various model aircraft events.  The event was a fundraiser for the Wounded Warrior Project.  www.fundraising-ideas.org
