Pink Holiday Fundraiser



Danvers, MA - Holiday decorations of green, red, and blue will be replaced by bright pink at the Pink Holiday Fundraiser  held at the Onion Town Grill on Water Street, Danvers.  This fundraising event will help raise money for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, in which Danvers resident Sheli Denman and Beverly resident Shauna Hubisz will be participating.  Denman is thankful for the wonderful services, support, and education made available to her during her personal brush with breast cancer, made possible by events like the Avon Walk.  The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer helps support research to find a cure or prevention, as well as programs that enable all patients to access quality care. Sign2Sing Fundraising Event



Milton Keynes, UK - A choir in Milton Keynes will help inspire a generation to learn sign language during a national deaf healthcare charity’s annual fundraising event next February (2014).  On February 5 the Milton Keynes branch of Rock Choir will get involved in SignHealth’s sign2sing record attempt for the most people signing and singing on the same day.  Lottie Greenhow, Rock Choir leader for Milton Keynes, said: “We are really looking forward to taking part in sign2sing.  “During the event all of our members will sing and sign True Colors by Cyndi Lauper. THON Weekend Fundraiser at Penn State



Altoona, PA - THON weekend at Penn State is one of the biggest fundraisers worldwide each year and today Penn State Altoona got a bit of a head start on this year’s event. The campus hosting a mini-THON today to help kick start their fundraising efforts. Dozens of people helped raise money and took part in the event on campus throughout the day. "It's for the best cause that I feel is out there right now, kids fighting pediatric cancer. You know, just having fun while doing it. Organizing can be the stressful part, but just getting everyone here and doing it, it's amazing and everyone is having fun with it," Antonio Stauffer says  Organizers say they wanted to more this year to help as a branch campus with THON. Run for the Red Race & Walk Fundraiser



Millburn, NJ - The Run For The Red 5K Race & Walk took place on Sunday, December 8, starting at the Millburn Free Public Library. This fundraising event supports programs and services to help you, your family, and your neighbors prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. Participants enjoyed a certified course with scoring by Compuscore, a USATF-NJ Grand Prix Event for 500 points, and a scenic "out and back" course through the tree-lined streets of the South Mountain Reservation. There were awards presented for 5K finishers by age group, fundraising awards for teams, door prizes, a DJ, great snacks and plenty of fun! Additionally, Red Cross blood donors were provided stickers at the event day to recognize them as a “Life Saver.”  www.fundraising-ideas.org

Chocolate Festival Fundraiser



Norman, OK — The Norman Firehouse Art Center is looking for local chefs, restaurateurs and chocolate artists to participate in its annual fundraiser, The Chocolate Festival, scheduled for Feb. 1, 2014.  Participants will support the Firehouse art education programs while marketing their business to a large crowd from the community. Applications will be accepted until Thursday. As the only fundraising event for the Firehouse Art Center, all proceeds from ticket sales support the children’s art education programs and art exhibitions.  www.fundraising-ideas.org

Soup for Good Fundraiser



Hartford, CT - Guilford Art Center's fundraising event, Soup for Good, held on Nov. 17, was a great success, raising funds for the Center and for the Community Dining Room in Branford. Guests enjoyed a bowl of hearty soup, bread and dessert; each guest chose their own one-of-a-kind soup bowl, handcrafted by Guilford Art Center potters. Great jazz music by CJ Vanacore rounded out the evening. A portion of proceeds were donated to the Community Dining Room, an organization committed to serving the shoreline community by feeding the hungry and helping with other basic human needs.
