Coeur d'Alene, ID
— It's going to be a merry Christmas for Weasley the orange tabby. The 11-year-old feline has been in Kootenai
Humane Society since Nov. 1, after his owner passed away. But thanks to a little girl with a big heart
for animals, Weasley will be warm and happy on the laps of his new owners on
Christmas Day. Burton
adopted Weasley in the Silver Lake Mall on Wednesday during "Holiday with
the Humane Society," a pet adoption and fundraising event for KHS
organized by 9-year-old Katherine Reiswig of Coeur d'Alene. Burton said Weasley
would be a gift to her parents, who are quite fond of Mr. Snuggles. Now they
will have their own orange cat to love. www.fundraising-ideas.org Friday, December 25, 2015

24 Hour Runathon Fundraisers in Three Cities to Fight Human Trafficing
Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Hong Kong - Imagine teenagers running from their captors for days
after being forced to work in sweatshops against their will, away from their
homes and families. This is the message
some 2,000 students from Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Hong Kong wanted to get
across in the 24 Hour Race events, held simultaneously in all three cities. What was unique about this fundraising
event was that it was fully organized from start to finish by the students
themselves, with minimal guidance from the 24 Hour Race headquarters in Hong
Kong and was completely funded through corporate sponsorship. www.fundraising-ideas.org Monday, December 21, 2015

Breakfast With Santa Fundraising Event
Harker
Heights, TX - Fluffy pancakes drenched in butter and syrup, entertainment,
raffles and photos with Santa drew families to the Junior Service League’s
annual Breakfast with Santa fundraiser last weekend. The annual event
helps the JSL support area organizations in the community, said local JSL
president Erin Mills. While partnering with Peaceable Kingdom and Operation
Phantom Support for service projects, events like Breakfast with Santa help
raise money for those projects, she said. www.fundraising-ideas.org
