Eat. Play. Live Strong. Fundraising Event for YMCA Program for Cancer Survivors



Fond Du Lac, WI - On Friday, community members will be attending the Eat. Play. Live Strong fundraiser, comprised of two events in one day.  Golf enthusiasts will be enjoying 18 holes of golf at the Steve Karls Golf Classic at South Hills Golf & Country Club in the afternoon, followed by an uplifting evening of tasty delicacies and entertaining dueling pianos at the Dining and Dueling Keys event.  As community members gather together for a day of fun, the focus of the festivities is rooted around the LIVESTRONG at the YMCA program, which offers physical and emotional benefits to local cancer survivors, at no cost to the participants.  www.fundraising-ideas.org

Battle of the Bars Fundraising Event



Newark, NJ - The Greene Turtle edged out seven other restaurants at the annual Battle of the Bars fundraiser, which raised a record $22,173 for the Newark Police Department K-9 Unit.  The event was held Friday evening at the University of Delaware’s Courtyard Marriott hotel. Eight downtown bars – CaffĂ© Gelato, Catherine Rooney’s, The Deer Park Tavern, Grain Craft Bar + Kitchen, Greene Turtle, Grotto Pizza, Stone Balloon Ale House and Taverna – faced off in a friendly competition to see which one could raise the most money for charity. Fundraising Event at Teen Nurturing Center for Homeless Students



Waco, TX  - Waco residents toured the recently opened teen nurturing center for homeless Waco ISD students while offering free snow cones to residents at a fundraising event on Friday.  Those attending visited the facility and donated to the center that is expected to served up to 40 students at a time. These students who don’t have a parent or a guardian in their life or a stable place to live will be able to do their homework, get a home meal and have access to laundry and shower facilities. Doggone Good Dog Show Fundraising Event for SPCA



Staunton, VA— Four-legged companions took over Gypsy Hill Park on Saturday, for a good cause.  Dozens of dog owners brought their furry friends to the annual "Doggone Good Dog Show," hosted by the Augusta Regional SPCA.  The event, held in September in years past, was held one month earlier than usual.  According to Debbie Caywood, the director of the Augusta SPCA, said the number of participants were down the past couple of years.  www.fundraising-ideas.org

Great Gatsby Gala Fundraiser at Packard Proving Grounds



Shelby Charter Township, MI - Get ready to go back in time and dance the night away in 1920s style at The Great Gatsby fundraising gala at the Packard Proving Grounds. The event, which will benefit the Packard Motor Car Foundation and restoration projects at the Packard Proving Grounds Historic Site, will feature a Roaring ’20s theme, complete with music and attire from the era.  The first-ever “Great Gatsby Gala” will take Aug. 27. Estate Planning Fundraiser for Jonah's Joy Home for Children



Crossville, TN - Jonah’s Joy: Home for Children continues to make appearances throughout Cumberland County with fundraising events to raise money for a much needed cause.
