Rogersville, TN — They aren’t going to sing for their supper, but the
Cherokee High School Marching Band will perform for new uniforms at a
fundraising event scheduled for Nov. 9. And as an added bonus, supper will be
served to those in attendance. “An Evening of Dinner and Music” is the first
major fundraiser toward the Cherokee Band Boosters’ goal of raising $50,000
this year. The main purpose for the fundraiser is to purchase new uniforms for
the band. Uniforms are expensive, but they have a 10- to 12-year life, so this
is an investment for future students of Cherokee High School, as well as the
current students.
