— The Walkway Over the Hudson organization kicked off a drive Tuesday to break
another Guinness World Record in which as many as 3,000 people would shake
hands in sequence from one end of the Walkway to the other. At a press conference at the Walkway park’s
western entrance, Ulster County Executive Mike Hein and Dutchess County
Executive Marc Molinaro shook hands to officially commence the 3rd Annual World
Record attempt and begin signing up the thousands of participants that will be
needed to make the June 1 event a success. Organizers hope the event –
“Handshake Across the Hudson” – will result in a line of participants
