Redmond, OR — The
dog days of summer might have drawn to a close, but don’t tell that to a
11/2-year-old yellow Labrador named Mazy, who attended an annual fundraising
event at the Cascade Swim Center.
Mazy
spent Sunday with dozens of other dogs that took a dip in the pool at the
Cascade Swim Center in Redmond, then received baths from members of the Redmond
High School and Ridgeview High School water polo teams.
The yellow lab, who is also known as “crazy
Mazy,” worked off some energy Sunday, racing back and forth between the indoor
and outdoor pools. The dog swim is an annual event at the Cascade Swim Center
in Redmond, before the Redmond Area Park and Recreation District closes the
pool for fall. The event raised money for the Cascade Swim Center water polo
team, according to the park district’s Facebook page. Dog owners paid $10 for a
dog bath and entrance to the pool.
