Clarksville, TN - The
Stephen F. Austin State University Lumberjack Quidditch sport club is
presenting its first Kidditch fundraising event at Pecan Park. Kidditch is an
event aimed at teaching the new generation of Harry Potter fans the game of
quidditch, while raising funds for SFA’s team to attend regionals. “It is a short come-and-go event for children
who have an interest in Harry Potter and want to learn quidditch,” quidditch
club President Morgan McGrath said. McGrath explained how the game will be
played with adapted rules to ensure the safety of the participants. Robert
Arnold, the historian of SFA’s quidditch team, came up with the idea in
mid-January because he knew the team would need to do some fundraising for
regionals. The event costs $5 per child and $15 for a party of four.
Participants will need to sign waivers before engaging in the sport.
