The Greasy Spoon Diner Fundraising Series of Events Announced
Save On Meats is launching a pop-up
dinner series called The Greasy Spoon Diner that will match up a guest chef
with a local brewery or distillery for an evening of “diner” food and
fundraising.“A well known and loved
chef will be challenged by one of his peers to come up with a four course
(including desert) Diner Menu,” explains Save On Meats’ Mark Brand. The chef on
the spot will take over the kitchen for the night to cook for two dinner
seatings, which will each have room for 80 guests. There’s one more very important match: The
Chef and the cause. The guest chef will choose from the existing A Better Life
Foundation programs to support, and those program heads will give a brief talk
at both services about what they do. The chef can pick multiple programs,
should he or she choose. www.fundraising-ideas.org
