— The Memorial Opera House held a unique fundraiser titled “Connected Paint” in
which more than 100 students and community members painted a tile to be
combined into a mural for permanent display in the Opera House theater. The tiles were individually painted and
combined into one mural all in one night. When some community members wanted to
sponsor a tile but could not be present, Michelle Bush from the Memorial Opera
House Foundation board reached out to art teachers to involve students. Two art students
from Parkview Elementary were chosen to attend based on their exceptional art
