Rhythm and Brews Fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity

Rocky Mount, NC - The Rocky Mount branch of Habitat for Humanity this weekend will be hosting what is hopes is the first of several fundraising events. The Rhythm and Brews charity event will be at the Nash Arts Center and will feature several local bands, including The Candy Thomas Band and Bunn and Braxton. “Right now, we have got four local restaurants providing heavy hors d’oeuvres and finger foods. We are going to be selling beer and wine. We have got two bands lined up,” Executive Director Eric Ghiloni said. “We decided that, since there is always a lull after Christmas, we wanted to have an event, we wanted it to be a fundraising event, and we wanted it to be kind of light.” The money donations are nice, but if more people are aware of what the organization is about after the event, that would be fine, Ghiloni said.  www.fundraising-ideas.org
