Joliet, IL
– Not all witch gatherings are bad. In the case of Witches Night Out on
Thursday, it will definitely be for good. That’s because this annual costume
event, now in its fifth year, is a fundraiser for local agencies that serve
women in need.This year’s recipients
are Lamb’s Fold Center, Guardian Angel Community Services and Stepping Stones. The event has outgrown its original venue at
the Joliet Junior College Renaissance Center and Joliet Area Historical Museum,
and is moving to the Jacob Henry Mansion Estate – a fitting backdrop for any
conclave of witches with its Gothic-looking Renaissance Revival architecture
and Victorian ballroom. www.fundraising-ideas.org
