Fundraising Event Allows Dogs Poolside

Secaucus, NJ -- When asked about her thoughts on why an afternoon in September felt like the middle of July, Sparkles, a terrier mix, declined to comment -- presumably because she was a dog.  Nonetheless, Sparkles, as well as dozens of other canine friends, seemed to enjoy the day at the Secaucus kiddie pool on Saturday during an annual fundraising event hosted by the Secaucus Animal Shelter.  Were it not for the work of the town shelter, Sparkles, along with her some of her siblings, may not have been able to find a home.  www.fundraising-ideas.org
