Gering, NE - The
26th annual Hoops for Heroes fundraiser was at the Gering Civic Center last
night. Locals enjoyed food, drinks,
games, and four big screens to watch March Madness on. Member of Leadership Scottsbluff Don Osborn
says they put on this event to give the community a fun night out, while
raising money for children charities. This
year the proceeds from the event are being split; half is going to the Team
Ashtyn Foundation, which serves childhood cancer families in the panhandle, and
the other half goes toward the Golden Halo Foundation, which helps children
