Mascot Dance Competition at Fundraising Event for United Way

Traverse City, MI — A tortoise, a hare and an eagle will compete to raise awareness for a United Way of Northwest Michigan fundraising campaign.  The trio are mascots that represent Fifth Third Bank and the eponymous Record-Eagle — two of three companies that will host a Rock the Block party Friday aimed at engaging downtown businesses. Gourdie-Fraser, the third event host, will also unveil a mascot.  The three downtown businesses collaborated to host the event for the second year. The three are part of a giving campaign in which employees can contribute money or hours to the nonprofit's community impact fund.  www.fundraising-ideas.org
