Branson, MO - With a little help
from four-time Super Bowl winning quarterback Terry Bradshaw, the Boys &
Girls Club of the Ozarks set a fundraising record Thursday evening.
Leon Combs, board chairman of the Boys &
Girls Club of the Ozarks, said the Thanks4Giving Gala held Thursday at the
Branson Convention Center raised about $290,000, a record for any single
fundraising event in Branson. He said it eclipsed the $225,000 raised at last
year’s event when former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani was the guest speaker.
That total was the old record, Combs said.
