Boxing Fundraising Event to Send Sick Youngster to Disneyland

Walkergate, Newcastle, UK - They are fighting to make a special little girl’s dream come true.  These fundraisers took to the boxing ring to help raise money to send disabled Sophie Pape, to Disneyland.  The five-year-old, who suffers from cerebral palsy, has touched hearts all over Tyneside after the Chronicle told of her brave battle for survival after being born 10 weeks early.  In her short-life Sophie, from Walkergate in Newcastle, has already beaten meningitis and septicaemia.  But she was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at the age of six months and now her hearing and eyesight are fading and she has to be fed through a tube.
