Norwalk, CT
-- Restoration of the former United Methodist Church on West Avenue is underway
but more money is needed, according to the new owners of the church. On Tuesday evening, Macedonia Church, which purchased
the 125-year-old, yellow-brick building at 39 West Ave. in May, will hold a
Thanksgiving Dinner, silent auction and fundraising event to raise additional
money for the restoration project. "We're
sponsoring a community event where we invite the Norwalk Preservation Trust and
other friends of the ministry to learn more about the building, the church, and
see if we can raise some additional monies for renovation," said the Rev.
Albert Ray Dancy, a pastor at the church. www.fundraising-ideas.org
