Midland, TX - The
Bush Tennis Center will host a tennis ball drop fundraiser Tuesday when members
of the community will have an opportunity to win one of several prizes and
learn about the center’s services. “Your
raffle ticket will get you into the event, as well as a chance at winning the
$5,000 and one of 20 other prizes,” said Jill Malcolm, with the center. “You
don’t have to be here to win, but you’re going to want to be because it’s going
to be interesting.” The tennis balls —
each labeled with a corresponding raffle ticket number — will be dropped from
the top of a Midland Fire Department fire truck onto targets below. Once the
balls have settled, Malcolm said judges will carefully measure which ball is
