Ireland - About 80,000 people
across Ireland took part in this morning’s ‘Darkness Into Light’ fundraising
run, Pieta House have reported. The annual event is held in memory of
those who have died by suicide and to raise suicide awareness.
The 5k run is held in timing with sunrise, a
symbolic gesture that represents hope.
Crowds
gathered at 4.15am at around 40 venues across Ireland for the run.
The fundraiser now in its sixth year, is also
taking place in Syndey and London.
