Jacksonville, FL - Registration
is under way for Jacksonville's version of Strut Your Mutt, a series of walks
and family-friendly dog festivals across the country that raise funds for local
animal welfare organizations. Founded 19
years ago by Utah-based Best Friends Animal Society, the event will be held in
12 cities this year between August and September, according to a news
release. Jacksonville's Strut Your Mutt
will be held Sept. 6 at Riverside Park. Best
Friends "provides the infrastructure" necessary to plan and
coordinate the events, but local organizations benefit, according to the
