Evesham, UK
- Vintage wedding dresses and World War One memorabilia will be on display at
All Saints Church in Evesham in aid of the Bell Tower Appeal later this summer.
As part of its program of events the
Bell Tower Appeal Committee, which needs to raise £500,000 to repair and
conserve the 16th century iconic building, is putting on a range of displays for
three days this summer. But the event,
being organized by locals, requires some more dresses to be part of the
display. "We need to borrow wedding
dresses, and mannequins to display them on. We already have three dresses, from
the 1960s, 80s and 90s, but the hope is to have ten to 12 altogether. What we
would love to have is a range of dresses from the First World War, 1920s, 30s,
40s and 50s.”The display will be manned
at all times when the Church is open. www.fundraising-ideas.org
